Notre Dame
This is the time of the college football season when the surprises pop up week to week and the teams that avoid the pitfalls gain momentum. Such is the case of Notre Dame and Air Force.
Yes, the Irish should win this game but don't think a blowout is the order of the day for this coming Saturday. The Falcons are 4-4 and lost to Navy by seven at home. Notre Dame crushed Navy by 24 on the road.
Here is what is scaring about Air Force. While it's a spread option team, quarterback Shaun Carney can throw the ball very, very well. His running backs are shifty and know the offense inside and out. Carney is not called upon to throw very often, but when he does, it's a shock and he has excellent accuracy.
Air Force faced Army on November 3rd and the Falcons were about ready to go down by a touchdown, but returned a fumble 98 yards for a score. In the second quarter of that game, the Falcons hung 36 points on the Cadets. 36.
If that doesn't get an opponent's attention-they will likely suffer the consequences of overconfidence

Air Force could be a trap game. USC is a couple of weeks away, but let's hope that Weis has ND focused on AF. If ND had Linebackers and
corners we could trust, this game would not be a worry. I
look forward to the day we have a good defense to go along with Charlie's offense.
Then, and only then, will ND
be true contenders.

Is anything being done about the fact that the ND-AF game is not to be televised except by CSTV?

CSTV is it. It might be web cast on und.com, but I'm not
sure.

Why was ND-AF game orginallly to be broadcasted on ESPN moved to CSTV. I'm not happy at all like many other ND Football Fans. It makes no sense to us fans.

Television wise, no....there is nothing we can do other than going to your local sportsbar to watch it...that's what we have to do and that is what we are going to do if we want to watch the game....i think it is a bunch of bull, if you ask me!

These blogs should be for ND Football fans only. Haters need to go to a blog called "losers"
jay

I've been to these "loser" too and they are for people just like me. All you ND haters should come and join me there too. Then we can talk and not understand what each other are saying because the talk is so senseless. Please come join me. I don't understand football so I am lost here. Help me

The game will be available as
a Dish and Direct tv pay per
view. CSTV bought the rights to the game, and evidently won't sell it to anyone else.
I do agree with the above
coments, it is a sin not to have this game on where everyone can watch.

Jay you can't handle the truth. Our opinion rubs you in the wrong way. It makes you think. If you can't handle it then I suggest you just read the blogs instead of writing you two cents.

I am more worried about how this defense will react against AF. I think these guys are faster than Navy and it appears more deceptive.
I am really worried about coverage against USC. Lambert might get torched. Where is the over the top protection?

If you want to see the Irish
against the AFA without cable or dish just go to TVUnetworks.com, go to download and click on the TVU Player. Follow the instructions and as far as setup and finally click on CSTV. Wait for the picture to stablize and you're ready to go. You must have broadband. Good Luck.
