Here is our "weather" wall. In actuality, it's called a "chroma-key" wall. A
studio camera is pointed at the wall with meteorologist
Gordy Young
standing in front of it. During the show, we can make the camera sensitive to this color blue, so that it does
not recognize the blue and allows us to "electronically" superimpose all that's not blue
(namely, Gordy or any other object) over any other video source we have (like a graphic, a
live "Skyview 16" shot, or
another camera shot). The maps Gordy appears to be standing in front of during the show are really not
behind him at all. He's able to see what you see by viewing TV screens off to the side.
