This is WNDU-TV's commercial playback system, as known as the "Vela". It's a Windows-based computer system that contains copies of all commercial and promotional ads that air on Channel 16. WNDU-TV was one of the first stations in the country to install and use the "Vela" to play commercials. Commercial on videotape are digitized into the system as computer files. Then, when "triggered" by an broadcast center operator, the machine plays the commercials as needed. You might think of it as a "cd-rom of commercials".
